Shakaikagaku Kenkyu (The Journal of Social Science)

Shakaikagaku Kenkyu (The Journal of Social Science) is a Japanese bulletin, first published in 1948. From 1998, the editorial board calls for papers for special issues and invites contributions from scholars both within and outside of the ISS, in Japan and abroad. Social Science Japan Journal (SSJJ)

Social Science Japan Journal, a new English-language, internationally refereed journal of the Institute of Social Science, University of Tokyo, will publish original papers on social science issues related to modern Japan, including comparative work and studies of international relaions. All disciplines in the social sciences are represented in the Journal, including anthropology, economics, geography, history, law, political science, and sociology. The Journal welcomes submissions at any time. Although the first five issues have been thematic, we are now shifting our emphasis to general papers, and we welcome contributions on any topic which deals with modern Japan from the perspective of the social sciences.

Social Science Japan - Newsletter

Social Science Japan, the English-language newsletter of the Institute of Social Science, University of Tokyo, provides concise information on key people, important issues, and recent developments in social science research on Japan. Social Science Japann is published twice a year, and is distributed to more than 1,400 Japan specialists and scholars interested in Japan in 48 countries throughout the world.
