Topics of Research

1 Intergenerational Support and Social Inequality in Japan
The purpose of this study is to examine how receiving economic, emotional, and practical support from parents and providing such support to parents are related to social inequalities in individual life courses by quantitative analysis. In this study, we conduct quantitative analysis using social survey data such as Japanese Life Course Surveys (JLPS).
2 Investigation of the Mechanism of Sexual Behavior and Sexual Awareness among Japanese Adolescents
This study aims to clarify the mechanism of sexual behavior and sexual awareness of adolescents in Japan, focusing on their relationship with social background. This will be examined by quantitative analysis based on the data from the National Survey of Sexual Behavior in Japanese Adolescents, which has been conducted every 6 years since 1974.
